Merz B Schwanen was reborn in 2010 when acclaimed photographer and vintage clothing aficionado, Peter Plotnicki chanced upon the last factory in Europe still using ringspun knitting machines. Inspired by this discovery, Plotnicki and his wife Gitta revived the 100-year-old Merz B Schwanen brand, with an agreeably understated range of T-shirts, henleys and sweatshirts, all made in Germany.

All tops are based on authentic working man's apparel, ranging from the first decades of the 20th century to army shirts of the sixties. While some are slightly modified, others are copied from the original piece down to the last seam.

Lightweight Loopwheeled sweatshirt, featuring double V gussets, wide waistband, set in shoulders, side seams and underarm gussets. The trimmings, cotton fabrics, buttons, labels, hangtags, and packaging are all German-made.
